Welcome to Meander Canyon Crafts! A place of inspiration and a place for craft inspiration!

I am a life-long crafter and fiber artist. I began crocheting when I was a teenager and then took up machine knitting in my mid-twenties. Since then I have taken up sewing, papercrafting, and jewelry making.

I have worked in Computer Repair, Communications and Graphic Design, Technical Manuals and Textbooks.

I received my Bachelors Degree in Management in 2012 from Indiana Wesleyan University, and my Associates degree in Visual Communications from Sinclair Community College in 2005.

Meander Canyon Crafts began in 2001 as an outlet for sharing the arts and crafts I was designing and creating. I developed a website as an online crafting newsletter that included a variety of craft projects, a monthly featured artist page, and a craft show calendar. The website was discontinued in 2004.  I also enjoy doing craft demonstrations and classes.

I consider myself an advanced crocheter and have an outline and pattern for a Learn to Crochet class available upon request. It covers things like types of yarn, how to work with a skein of yarn, how to hold a crochet hook, making a slip knot, making a chain, tension, how to see a stitch, how to read a pattern, fastening off, and weaving in ends.

Samples of my crochet projects, bead projects, and papercraft projects can be found here and on www.etsy.com/shop/MeanderCanyonCrafts and meandercanyoncrafts.blogspot.com.
